Overview

BatchPrep is a privacy-first meal prep planning app. This policy is short because we collect almost nothing. Your recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists stay on your device — we never see them.

Data We Collect

Meal Planning Data

• We collect none of it. All recipes, meal plans, shopping lists, pantry items, and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData.
• Recipes you import from URLs are processed entirely on your device.
• We have no servers, no databases, and no backend. There is nowhere for your data to go.

Purchase Information

• If you subscribe to Pro, purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit.
• We do not collect or store payment information (credit cards, billing addresses, etc.).
• We receive only a purchase confirmation and subscription status from Apple's on-device StoreKit framework.

Analytics & Tracking

• We do not use any analytics frameworks (no Firebase, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude).
• We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or usage data.
• We do not use tracking pixels or any form of telemetry.
• We literally do not know how many people use BatchPrep.

Data Storage & Security

• Local-only architecture: All data is stored in a SwiftData database on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection encryption.
• No network calls: BatchPrep makes zero network requests for data storage or retrieval. The only network activity is Apple's StoreKit for subscription management and recipe URL imports (which stay on-device).
• No cloud sync: Your meal plans are not synced anywhere. They exist only on your device.

Data Sharing

• We do not sell your data. We don't have your data.
• We do not share data with advertisers. We don't run ads.
• We do not use third-party data services.

Data Export & Deletion

• Export: You can share shopping lists at any time via the iOS share sheet.
• Deletion: Delete the app and all data is permanently gone. There is no cloud backup, no account to delete, no data retention period. We have nothing to delete because we never had your data.

International Data Transfer

There is no international data transfer. Your data does not leave your device. There are no servers to transfer data to.

Children's Privacy

BatchPrep is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children — or from anyone, for that matter.

Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations, you have the right to access, correct, delete, and port your personal data. Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you already have complete control over it. We cannot access, modify, or delete your data because we don't have it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy if we ever change how the app works. Material changes will be communicated through the app. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
